How do YOU feel about The X Files?

One of the most iconic shows ever put on tv.

So I finally got to cross the revival off my watch list. Just posted my review on its page.

I wasn't allowed to watch the show when it originally aired, at first. Cause lil ol' me was a scaredy cat.

Even the freaking opening theme music creeped me the fuck out.

But when I moved in with my grandma, I could watch anything I wanted, as long as she went to bed early. Or was out doing old people stuff, idk. 😆

Man, the show's first like 5-6 seasons were absolutely fantastic. It's some of the best tv I've ever consumed.

But Duchovny's exit & the show dragging the mythology on & on, killed the show. Finished all of it but man, it was a chore. Not shit but definitely a husk of its former self.

The first 5 seasons are good. When I re-watched those in HD, I skipped the alien mythology episodes which are conveniently marked in Wikipedia episode lists. My favourite episode is Darkness Falls.

Ha, that's pretty darn helpful. Darkness Falls is an excellent episode. Great pick.

I'd go with Bad Blood. Because it's also a Taylor Swift song. Which makes it cool. 😆😅

In all seriousness, the show has produced SO MANY fantastic standalone episodes, it's insane!

For some reason, I got the vibe the show was lame & smug, along w/ the hokey bad SciFi / conspiracy angle, and so never got into it. Probably missed out on at least a few good shows. Also, the female lead bugged me - I never found her attractive, but it seemed like she was supposed to be considered as such. DD is cool, though. Most other things I've seen him in are good.

Huh, I guess you're one of the FOX Execs who wanted Pamela Anderson for the role. Ya really 😆

Scully was pretty but not a bombshell. Which I don't think she was supposed to be.

Would been a bit distracting to have a super model type play Scully imo. Gillian Anderson was perfect for the role.

Scully's character must have been based off of Jodie Foster's character from "Silence of the Lambs". There's a lot of similarities.
