There is a "country" in Europe with an official population of 497... the main tourist destination there "during the high season, which runs from April to June, can see between 20,000 and 30,000 visitors per day."
I don't think there are any hotel rooms there...
Monaco probably has hotel rooms but its population is 38k and only gets about 2,000 visitors a day...

shareI've been reading about backlash in Barcelona so I guessed Spain (wrong). Also, the story uses a resident to tourist ratio, not an absolute number of tourists. So I think the title of the thread is misstated (correctly stated in the OP).
