In life, do there exist situations equivalent to law that if police brutality is used like in Dirty Harry (1971)...
... then the suspects even if there is evidence or strong suspicion of their guilt, are released?
Like for instance, if someone shouts more than is necessary at someone say in family or argument, then the guilty party is pardoned and let go without someone thinking too badly of that person.
Or if someone doesn't say do their homework or research for a school or other project but under some kind of blunders they can still get a passing grade or even a plus or whatever.
Or someone being on the brink of death due to a condition for example but by some miracle they get saved and end up living.
People who are justifiably angry at someone for their deed may decide to forgive and not hate them too much in the end - and that is met with understanding and not say accusations of indifference, victim blaming, glorifying the crime and the criminal and thinking its "OK and acceptable and its derivatives" and nobody worries etc.
And what if we may find certain methods of discipline "spirit crushing" for instance or "cliched" (sometimes even in WAYS said) or too obvious but don't disagree although in some cases we want an explanation more than a typical angry reaction and not to speak of swear words or de-facto ill wishes on someone?
AND MORE IMPORTANTLY - is it all entirely LOGICAL, UNDERSTANDABLE, AGREEABLE and even NATURAL or is it, and if it really does undermine say injustice of any kind even unintentionally, simply a matter of "Eww, look at how sick, disgusting etc it all really is full stop" and no further thoughts even out of curiosity, and even on the other side existence of film tropes that many even DO agree with and for what seems like very RIGHT reasons, well, sorry but tough sh!t, nothing more to add. OK, really?
But anyways?
P.S. And if NOT, does that ultimately reveal that law is first and foremost a SYSTEM and SECOND a MORAL and FRIENDLY force like that? And yes I love the first Dirty Harry movie.
