Star Wars expansion

If I were to make a movie set in the Star Wars universe, I'd base it off a soap Box racing event.

Synopsis:
Three friends decide to enter a land cruiser competition. The rebel and Empire take a back seat but you see the occasional storm trooper or you hear about rebels. The kids work on learning how to build the racer, raise money for the parts, put up with an intial loss (mechanical failure) , witness the superiority of the best team, get into a fight among eachother, have a setback due to a successful rebel espionage causing an embargo on trade and an inflation of prices, the reforming of the group, and the race where they need to work together to possibly eek out a win.

I really dislike star wars, but this story would speak better to most audience members. It would expand the lore and it could be taken out of star wars and added to any other environment. The themes of teamwork, ingenuity, discovery, overcoming obstacles, and putting it on the line works.

Sounds like an AI script. Take it to Disney, you'll be rich.

And sell my soul to the devil?

No thanks.

Disney can suck a steaming bucket of diarrhea.

I want to know about this and at the same time, I don't:

They already did, and Kathleen Kennedy provided the bucket and poo herself.

reply

Didn't we already have a podrace in Episode I?

reply

Yeah, but there was no real teamwork there. Think October sky or the Explorers.

Episode 1 was an abomination .

reply

Sorry, the "Abomination" trophy was stolen by "The Last Jedi."

I'm sure you're right. I stopped actually caring about Star Wars before Disney got a hold of it. I refused to watch any of the sequels since revenge of the Sith.

reply

EPISODES 4,5 AND 6 AND ROGUE ONE ARE THE ONLY STAR WARS I WOULD EVER REWATCH.

reply

I hear that a lot. I also hear a lot of groans about the current Disney expansion.

That's why I thought of this. You take basic themes and a stock story and apply the features to it.

No politics, no disrespect to the original movies, and it can easily make a family film.

reply

You're all the better off not doing so. I refused to watch any more of them after TLJ, no matter how hard my dad and brother tried pushing me to watch the last one. Turns out I didn't miss much. They're little more than really bad, million-dollar fanfiction.

With the exception of "The Mandalorian's" first two seasons, everything else Star Wars on Disney+ is also million-dollar fanfiction.

I had a similar experience with Star Wars and Jurrasic Park.
I enjoyed the original films, but that didn't mean I wanted see more. It was the right decision to stay out of it.

CHRIST PRATT AND BLUE ARE BADASS...I DON'T CARE WHAT ANYBODY SAYS.😉

I don't know what that is.

23 minutes is a little long for me.

It's looks like another dinosaur movie.

BASICALLY HALLE BERRY AND HER GERMAN SHEPHERDS FROM JOHN WICK 3....BUT IT'S CHRIS PRATT AND RAPTORS...BLUE IS THE MAIN ONE...IT'S COOL.

reply

Ah. OK.

After watching #2 and #3, I realized they actually sucked as sequels, and the only good Jurassic Park film was the first one. I was actually shocked and dismayed at how stupid Jurassic World was. It's no wonder they call it, "Jurassic Park for Dummies." The writing was so bad that it sounded like something from fanfiction.net, like the author was a fan, but lousy at being original in their story-telling. And don't get me started on the sequels to that.

So basically, after the first movie, I call the others, "Dinos Eat The People, Parts 1-5."
