Darn kids

I see a parade of cars driven by our local high schoolers.

These cars are all under 10 years old.
I've yet to see one with rust. There is one that looks like a classic rebuild.
Are people actually buying their kids relatively new cars to go to school?
When I was a kid, we had to buy a beater and fix it up.
Is that even an option for young people?

In my day we used our feet and public transport.

If you had a car, you either had rich parents or sold drugs.

Next thing you know they'll be flying to school in those Jetsons-like flying machines!

But yes I've noticed that too. My first car was used several times over.

Were the cars 4 lemons?

reply

Ha! No. Just one lemon shaped silver hatchback.
