Live Action and CGI are like oil and water

CGI can look great for mattes or for space, or all-CGI scenes similar to that.

Live Action and practical effects can look amazing.

However, live action with CGI together in motion in the same scene, even in 2024 with hundreds of millions thrown at it, looks like ass.

I hear what you’re saying, it can be an awkward mix sometimes.

But sometimes it works just fine. I rewatched Deadpool the other night (a terrific action comedy btw!) and when Colossus was walking around with Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Pool he totally blended in. That’s one example for what it’s worth.
