Looking for the name of a movie, only remember the plot

The child of a CIA agent hears by mistake top secret information, and his father fights to convince CIA to spare his life. Years latter when he is an adult finally got killed by CIA because of that thing he heard once as a child. He was on the list all his life

It is 90s the oldest can be and 00s the newer, I know this is not very helpful

No, that's Mercury Rising. The movie I looking for is a spy thriller with nothing supernatural in to it, just a story of how the secret service won't forget about you no matter how much time have passed
