Which type of movie you like better?
Movies that has a stronger first half or movies that has a stronger second half?
Me I prefer movies with a stronger second half.

Interesting question. I think it's a given most people prefer movies that are good all the way through, but given the options of a strong 1st half or 2nd, I would say a stronger second half.
shareI would prefer a movie to be all all the way through as well, I always hated it when certain movies have a great first half and a mediocre second half.

In a typical movie structure, there's usually stronger suspense in the first half and more intense action in the second half. I prefer a stronger second half, provided it maintains growing suspense and still manages to surprise me by the end.
shareSecond half.
I hate when I'm really getting into a film and then it goes nowhere or has a disappointing ending.
I'm partial to a strong middle half.
But seriously, if a fillum doesn't grab me fairly quick, or at least promise to, I'm out. All the requisites - plot, character, conflict, pacing go into the soup.
That doesn't mean I have to be hit over the head, more like drawn in - do I care about what's going on, are the people & situations compelling, etc.
Clownish films usually reveal themselves early & often.

Stronger second half if the build up to that second half is adequate, but if the end is a complete let down, I'd take the stronger first half. A lot of okay movies would be rated great if the ending hadn't been a let down, but if the first half was good enough to keep you watching all the way through then I'd take potential good ending over a movie where I won't make it to the second half.
shareI can forgive a slow start, so the latter.
