Funny you mention "Mr. Roboto".
This song, plus the entire "Kilroy was Here" (I guess it was supposed to be some kind of concept album) business is what started their downfall.
As one recalls, they never cracked the top of the charts again.

I heard that audiences didn't care for the whole Kilroy was Here act. The album wasn't that bad but nowhere near as good as their previous albums.
The thought of the person in the Mr. Roboto outfit getting pelted with bottles made me laugh! 😂🤣🤣
