More unnecessary sequels

Since Beverly Hills Cop 4 and Bad Boys 4 came out and everyone in the casts (except Will Smith) looked terrible, I was thinking what other 80s action or comedy movies do we need a sequel with starring the original actors?

Titanic III (yes there was a Titanic II!)

reply

I saw it. It was shit and completely unrelated to the other film.

reply

I’m starting to get excited about the prospect of a Titanic III.

reply

I’ve gotten a peek at the early script. Apparently the ship sinks the iceberg this time…Titanic: The Revenge!

‘This Time It’s Personal!!’

reply

Lol. That’s one way to keep the champagne at the correct temperature.

Liked the Die Hard and Frantic ones.

Boy, I haven't heard the movie "Southern Comfort" in a long time, I think it was from 1981 or 82 with Keith Carradine & Powers Boothe

reply

Yeah, The U.S. National Guard runs afoul of a bunch of swampbillies and all hell breaks loose.
Fun early 80s action stuff👍

Speak for yourself, "Cujo 2: Chihuahua" has all the makings of a masterpiece.

I read about dogs a lot because I love the fuzzy bastards and I’ve read that Chihuahaus (can anyone spell that correctly?!) are the psycho killers of the canine world. They are very tiny but think they are Mastiffs and they just go off on you!

Imagine the shame from getting your foot chewed off by a five pound dog. Those little shits are adorable but MEAN!

reply

A girl I dated once had a pet chihuahua. I have no idea how such a small thing can shit so much.

LoL 😂

If the disease is in my drawers I’d prefer penicillins. I don’t want you anywhere in my undies😄

That line is from Cobra. I should have put this link:

I fixed my original post.

I liked Cobra, the tall blonde was especially hot, Bidgitte Neilsen or something similar. Hot stuff!

reply

Yeah it was Bidgitte Neilsen. I think she was married to Stallone. She's was hot.

Platoon 2 - Chris Visits the Cemetery.

Saving Private Ryan 2 - all the families of the men who died in this mission gather with Captain Miller and Private Ryan and ask what exactly was so special about Ryan that meant their men folk had to die?

reply

Makes you wonder. I mean from a human point of view sure, a mother losing so many sons should be a case of get the last one out. At the cost of so many other lives? I demand to see Ryan's CV.

If he didn't cure some disease or something big (fictionally). I'm sending Marty McFly in the DeLo'real (because it's worth it) to recruit Jean Claude Van Damme in his time cop era to go back to the first world war to intercept the bullet that hit Bruce Willis in 12 Monkeys to use that bullet to kill him just as his brothers died.

reply

That always struck me at the end of the film. He is standing there as an old man and there doesn’t seem to be anything remarkable about him. Capt Miller told him to “earn this”.

And sure he may have gotten married, had some kids, led an upstanding and moral life.

But did he do anything extraordinary to warrant so many men dying for him?

I also thought it was dumb that he insisted on staying to fight the final battle when the rescue team arrived.

If I were Capt Miller I would have knocked him out and taken him back by force. How many extra men died during that battle and what if Ryan himself was killed?

reply

The ones that come to mind and I refuse to see, are sequels to A Christmas Story and Donnie Darko.

reply

The Shawshank Redemption 2. This time, Andy will break back into prison and swim through TWICE the amount of poop.

Given there is a new Mad Max film out, I'd like to see one with Mel Gibson in it reprising the role of Max.

reply

Harley Davidson & the Marlboro Man2. I know it was early 90s but they could both go electric.
