He was a pretty weird guy but no doubt a genius.

I'm an old metal head but I do like Prince. Most people don't know but Prince was one of the best guitarist in the world. Prince died way too soon.

It seems he died of fentanyl overdose and that was the wrong med for his ailment. How he wound up with the wrong meds is sort of murky, one of those tragic stories that may never get a proper explanation.
I saw an interview with Morris Day soon after Prince died, and according to Day, Prince had been putting off hip-replacement surgery for years because he was afraid he might not be able to perform at the same level; hence, all the pain meds he was on. Sad story.
The guy was only 57, which is still relatively young when you really think about it.
I loved Prince. He could seriously shred on the guitar and was great on bass as well.
