Show me….
…show me, show me how you do that trick….
shareEh?
shareRobert is the man
shareI really have to see them one more time before they call it a day. But there’s no indication of the band quitting any time soon, so hopefully I have some time. And the band- Smith specifically- doesn’t strike as the “farewell” type who keeps coming back…he seems like he’ll go until he’s on empty….
shareI’ve seen them twice in the last few years and it would be hard for me to express how big of an impact they have had on me. The Disintegration album alone, is so damn emotional. So yeah, don’t miss them when they come around again. I won’t. 😀
shareI had a Greek girlfriend in college who absolutely loved their music so of course I became acquainted with them. They were a very good band.
shareThe Greeks know good Souvlaki and good bands, and shot of Metaxa ain’t too bad either….
The musicianship of this band is often overlooked, I guess it happens when only listening to the hits, which are good too. As mojo stated above, the Disintegration album is damn-near perfect, and I don’t like to give too many perfect ratings. Some of the bass lines set a great tone, a moody atmospheric feel, and Smith as a lyricist; he does what he does and it’s fits perfectly.
Opa!…
An 11 year old boy heard ‘Killing An Arab’ and thought, ‘What…..is……this?’ That boy was me.
shareHaha, when Andy The King was Andy The Prince…
Enjoy reading the updates on your musical excursions, AK….I’m sure the latest Clapton gig delivered a good time…I’ll wait for the details to this band’s next show, though I may be waiting awhile after The Cure’s successful tour in ‘23….
Cheers….
I’ve posted this before here on MC, but I’ll share again.
