I liked him in Taxi.

No not at all.

The only thing he did that made me laugh was his very first SNL sketch (Mighty Mouse). It was the first time I ever saw him. Nothing he did subsequently was any good, IMO.

I think his early death made him out to be more than he was. By the time he passed (1984 I believe) he wasn't even on the radar. Eddie Murphy completely dominated the comedy scene at that point. Kaufman and his humor were invisible by then.

I enjoy Kaufmann on TAXI which made alot of Stars on that show.. I'd also say his feud with Jerry the King Lawler was memorable

He only used that show as a paycheck to finance his stage shows
