Journey vs. The Beatles and America vs Led Zeppelin highlight the ridiculousness of this kind of contest. Previously, Kiss vs. Pink Floyd, Lynyrd Skynyrd vs. The Temptations, and a few more.

With all due respect

reply

I VOTED AMERICA...I LIKE THEM BETTER.

reply

I am also fan of America but the LOTR songs of Led Zeppelin win it for me.
I also feel a sense of wasted potential of America. There first album was the best. They could have been bigger.

reply

I CAN'T ARGUE WITH THAT...AMERICA SEEMS TO HAVE FALLEN OFF THE WORLD IN THE 80S.

reply

Still great band.

reply

Why the bad mood nyctc7? Second time you complain about it.
Random draw is actually fairer than me dividing them according to my musical knowledge. It's not like I can rate them objectively.

The only important thing is who win at the end, if you can't beat any band, you don't deserve the win. So far Led Zeppelin defeat America 7-0, so what it's matter if they lose to them in round 1 or round 2?

reply

Since we are talking about "favorite" as opposed to "who do you think is the greatest" maybe I see your point.

Still, it doesn't sit well.

reply

I understand your perspective. Perhaps in the next draw, I'll ensure that the five winners with the most significant victories won't face each other. The same with the five winners with the smallest victory. No more than that, I don't want to give more advantage to bands that get easy draw in the first round.

Hmmm...Hmmm. ☺

I know right 😆

reply

You think you're safe cause you're the incumbent here.
Don't try me, XXPO. 🐰

reply

I looked up the definition of incumbent and that I am not.

I looked up the definition of incuntinent and that you are.

Now shut up and go check my top 50

reply

Already checked your stupid OP (top 50).
Go ahead with your illustrious 'friends'.
And don't forget to pray. 😉

Hey look, I’ll be straight up with you, I came at you out of the blue and was totally uncalled for but I found it funny since you literally didn’t say anything. You just made a sound with an emoji. You’re weird like that. And I have a twisted sense of humour. For all that’s worth, your a good sport to battle with.

What the fuck is this! Except for Radiohead and Cypress Hill, it's all Geezer music for 60+. Proper title is AARP Favorite Band!

Most people on the site are 35+

Anyway, it's based on real discussion.
