What are some director and actor pairings you'd like to see?

May your wildest pairings manifest into reality.

Freddie got Fingered the trilogy is basically a requirement for an ideal, alternate version of reality.

Tom Cruise/Uwe Boll
Gregg Turkington/James Cameron
Nicole Kidman/Quentin Dupieux
The Rock/Kathryn Bigelow

reply

I think Gregg Turkington would work perfectly in a Uwe Boll film.

reply

Tom Cruise and Uwe Boll... What a freak show, I would love it

reply

Denzel Washington in a Tarantino or Nolan joint.

DiCaprio in a Fincher film.

reply

At least you got Denzel's son in a Nolan film.

reply

He doesn't even hold a candle to the "old man".

reply

Well, no. But at least you got a Washtington in a Nolan film. Watch Denzel star in a film by some random dude name Joe Nolan now.

reply

Haha, still could happen though.

He does have a brother called Joe (Jonathan) Nolan. Dude who created Westworld.

reply

All of these are too old for it.
Denzel Washington and Samuel L. Jackson in a buddy cop movie.
Bill Murray and Arnold Schwarzenegger in a slapstick comedy.
Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman together in a movie.

reply

My bad. I still haven't seen it.

reply

All could work depending on the type of movie. Nicholson/Freeman could be retired hitmen who are sent for one last job. Murray and Schwarzenegger would have to be a comedy. I can't see them doing drama together at their age.

reply

SAM ROCKWELL IS MY FAVORITE LIVING ACTOR...TARANTINO IS MY FAVORITE LIVNG DIRECTOR...SO ROCKWELL/TARANTINO.

reply

Rockwell has a Walton Goggins vibe about him.

reply

Tom Hardy/Darren Aronofsky
Miles Teller/Safdie Bros
Rosamund Pike/David Lynch
Carey Mulligan/Robert Eggers
Anne Hathaway/Damien Chazelle

reply

We all know Marty and DeNiro are the best duo.

reply

mic cage/alexander payne

reply

He could have been interesting in The Holdovers.

reply

Van Damme/Quentin Tarantino

reply

Tarantino would and then claim that he revived his career.
