It's not a bad song but when it's played over & over, from November to Christmas, it gets on ya fucking nerves.
There is no reason for these radio stations to begin their 24-hour "Christmas" formats in mid-November. December 1 is plenty early for this stuff. It's the same limited playlists repeated ad nauseum for six weeks. By the time Christmas Day arrives people are so sick of it. It cheapens the holiday experience.
Radio stations used to play the occasional holiday tune in December. I remember a couple of local stations broadcasting "36 Hours of Christmas" which would begin at noon on Christmas Eve and end on midnight of the 25th. These were presented commercial-free with the sponsor's name mentioned once at the top of each hour.
I would like to know who decided to air "Christmas" music in November and why.
And then Mariah has the other Christmas song, "Santa Clause is coming to Town" to the same beat is "All I want for Christmas".. The woman has definitely made some serious $$$$$$ from that. Surprised Taylor Swift hasn't done a Christmas song or has she??
