Anyone using Apple Silicon?

when im not working i use my laptop wa way more than my tv and watch alot of youtube and comment here sometmes so i thought even though its overkill it was worth it to upgrade form my old intel to a 16inch M1. such a qualty of life improvement.

its weird to think apple is now actually a good deal when it used to be so overpriced underpowered crap (from a hardware POV)

Not yet. I have an old Intel Mac and am dreading the day it konks out on me. I have heard mixed reviews about the Apple chips so I am happy it is working out well for you.

I think it is a worse deal considering they lock everything down now to their advantage.

meh the battery, speakers, screen and speed are great. ive owner 4 macs and never had an ssd die let alone the computer.. some other manufacturers also lock down ram. would i prefer ram and the SD wasnt locked down? sure. but
