Would Earthlings be ready for this? I am tired of the wondering. If life is out there, I want to know NOW!!
Then again, it could be the end of us as a species. Humans can’t even deal with the differences between ourselves. To introduce another into this toxic mix could just tip us over the edge.
At first I thought alien contact would unite humanity, but after a bit of thinking...I dunno. Maybe humanity's divisions would further deepen due to all the conflicting ideologies and such.

shareYeah, it'd start all exciting and amazing. People would be accepting and some would. E scared. Then, after the honeymoon phase, you'd get a buch of reports and celebrities. That would be start of the politics. Then the bullshit build up and nobody likes the other.
