I always imagined that Charlie Sheen just was out of his mind and showed up on set. So they thought it would be fun to just toss him in the movie.

Did you not like Platoon? I really thought it was an amazing movie.
Admittedly it was pretty heavy and dire, non-volunteer draftees got slaughtered over there, it was a pretty powerful movie.

ETA: The Breakfast Club and Stakeout were really good movies, fair point.

Was never into Charlie's movies or TV shows. I never had a desire to see Platoon.

Alot of people forget Emilio in Stakeout which was hilarious with Dreyfuss as buddy cops. The sequel was pretty good too.

Oh yes, Stakeout was very good.
Platoon did have a fantastic ensemble cast going for it, it was a bit gruesome but then so was the war.

What a waste of a ton of lives.
