Chinese food

My go to when at a Chinese restaurant is very simple and effective: Honey Garlic spare ribs, almond guy ding and chicken fried rice.

When at the food court fast food Chinese chain: Honey crispy chicken with Lo mein noodles and broccolis.

I do enjoy some general Tao but will only eat if someone else orders as I don’t love it enough.

What’s yours?

Wonton soup, egg drop soup, egg rolls, pot stickers (aka dumpling), fried shrimp, shrimp toast, sesame noodles, kung pao chicken or shrimp, szechuan beef or chicken, mongolian beef or chicken, moo shu pork w/pancakes, sweet & sour pork or chicken or shrimp, shrimp with cashews, anything with snow peas, fried rice, steamed rice, chow mein (lo mein is not a term typically used on US West Coast, chow mein means the same thing. We would call East Coast chow mein crispy chow mein or some other term). And a pot of hot tea to wash it all down.

Might have been easier to list the stuff you DON'T like! 😂

I remember ordering chow mein at a chain restaurant in CA (it was either pf chang or panda xpress) and being surprised when they brought me what I always knew as lo mein instead. It was good, though.

reply

Yep, when I moved to the West Coast 10 years ago, I didn't know about the whole lo mein/chow mein thing.

From the local Chinese takeaway I usually get King Prawn Curry with rice and prawn crackers.

From the local Chinese restaurant I usually order King Prawn "birds nest"
