Finally saw all three of them.

I saw Clerks II many years ago and didn’t care much for it. Recently I found the DVD for cheap and decided to give it another chance and I was able to enjoy it this time. Then I found the third movie for a good price bought it watched it and liked it too. This week I received my snowball collectors series copy of the original black-and-white movie and I loved it.

My ratings:
Clerks: 7.5
Clerks II: 7
Clerks III: 7

Now, the main purpose of this thread is to make KOWALSKI jealous with my Snowball edition.

I HAVE THE CLERKS X BOXSET AND A BLU-RAY COPY BUT...I AM INDEED JELLY OF THAT SNOWBALL EDITION...I HAVE NEVER EVEN SEEN THAT.

I love Clerks 1 and 2. I rewatch them both every once in a while. They are both very relateable, quotable and funny. But Clerks 3 was horribly bad. To the point that I would prefer if it didn't exist.

I KIND OF FEEL LIKE THE FIRST FILM WAS LOADED WITH DRAMA TOO THOUGH...WHICH IS WHY THE THIRD WORKS...IT'S LIKE A LOOP.

The movie didn't follow the formula of the first two, it didn't even really try. Maybe Kevin Smith is too far removed from working in the service industry make it relateable. They instead relied on Nostalgia. They brought back almost everyone that they could from the first 2, and tried literally recreating scenes from the first 2 movies, which just reminded you how much better those movies were. Clerks 2 is still a great stand alone movie even if you never seen Clerks 1. But imagine watching Clerks 3 without having seen the others.

There is more I can complain about, but I've only watched it once, and I don't care to revisit any time soon.

I agree Clerks 2 is a good movie on its own. Clerks you kinda have to be in the mood to sit through not that it is bad just you kinda have to be in a Kevin Smith kinda mood. Clerks 3 seemed to be made just for Kevin Smith and his super fans who watch everything that he does.

Clerks - 9/10. One of my all time favorite comedies.

Clerks 2 - 8.5/10. Solid sequel. Had a huge crush on Rosario Dawson.

Clerks 3. 7.5/10. Not as good as the other 2 but still a good comedy.

Clerks: Cinematic masterpiece. OK, maybe not that, but I REALLY like it.

Clerks II: Before I saw it I didn't think I'd like it ( I'm kind of prejudicial against sequellery ) but it turns out I like it a lot as well. Stands up on its own or as a companion to the first Clerks.

Haven't yet seen Clerks III but now I think I will.

Clerks - 9/10. One of my favorite comedies.

Clerks II - 7/10. Very funny but not as good as the first. I have a cousin though who cites this one as her all-time favorite movie.

Clerks III - 4/10. Tiresome, unfunny, overly nostalgic/sentimental. Huge disappointment.

Lol...not a reference to the idiom, but “snowballing” is a slang term used in the film for an unusual sexual practice. Google it if you want to know more.
