Disney you are a piece of shit to pull access to ESPN through Spectrum just as football season is starting. I not only miss my favorite pre game fantasy shows, but now I can't watch Monday Night Football either.
Spectrum is also to blame letting it go this far, but Disney pulled the plug.
Anything else I say will become political, so I will shut up, but Walt is rolling in his grave knowing what the company has become.
I'm a Spectrum customer also and I do agree wholeheartedly with you regarding Disney.
However...I have a lot of animosity toward Spectrum also. I don't have a lot of love for the Internet and Cable TV companies. My Spectrum bill has skyrocketed in recent years and Spectrum (formerly Time Warner) has given us long-time customers zero breaks over the years.
Being a golfer, I really wanted to get The Golf Channel when we first started with Spectrum. However, they refused to throw it in with our basic package, so I had to give it up (This was around 6-7 years ago, if I remember correctly). But I wonder the same thing with this Disney fiasco..."Where's our discount?" Since we have been unable to get these Disney channels, we should receive sizable discounts on our next cable bills. However, I bet it doesn't happen.
I think these Cable TV companies are really hurting financially, but they've done it to themselves. We should have been able all along to "pick and choose" the channels we want/don't want. They've treated us customers terribly. Spectrum is trying to portray themselves as the "good guys" in this Disney situation, but there aren't any in this case (IMO).
Agree with you 100%. Our Spectrum bill is a little over $300 a month, but that does include my internet - still a ridiculous amount when you think about it.

shareI "cut the cable" a couple of years ago. My building has a few TVs spread around (gym, social lounge) and whenever I check it out I go through the channels and there is nothing I ever want to watch. I'm not that into sports so that doesn't address your issue. But when I am using the gym I end up witching reruns of Seinfeld or Shark Tank :)
shareMy husband and I love football and this Disney/Spectrum crap is just unacceptable. He is disabled and spends a lot of time watching TV. Cable is easy for him to use. If it just was up to me I would explore other options.
