Great movie.
I prefer Psycho which is often mentioned as an early example of the ‘slasher film’ although it had a low body count.

Frenzy could be a dark horse here, Hitch somehow made us nervous and empathetic for a total psycho that needed a date with a noose but through great tension and directing you almost rooted for the maniac to get away…Really good movie.

I Googled 'What's Alfred Hitchcock's magnum opus?'

Psycho, Vertigo, Rear Window, North by Northwest seem to be the most mentioned. I have no opinion.

Tough one, but I'm going with Rear Window...

All. Either that or Psycho

I'll give it up for ecarle here! 😃 "Psycho" has my vote also (although I've only seen 4 Hitchcock movies in my lifetime, which is a ridiculously low total for someone my age).

North by Northwest
