Did you wear a school uniform in high school
I did. Shirt, tie and jumper.
shareNo In the US Uniforms are pretty much only private schools
shareNo, but we did all seem to pick our own uniforms. I was a metal head, the Denim jacket with the Slayer or Anthrax or Ozzie back patch, the Iron Maiden tee shirts, scruffy jeans and scruffy military boots was the uniform for about 5% of us.
There were preppies, jocks, hillbillies, nerds, rockers, stoners, the cheerleader/mean girl types…I always preferred the rockers, stoners, hillbillies and nerds. That was my tribe, they were NOT the ‘cool kids’ but they were really cool kids👍
Bonfires, beers in the woods, camping, constant music, good vibes and very few fights. I knew my people the minute I saw a rocker or a dude in flannel driving a pickup or a kid with lots of books that wanted to talk about writers or art.
We were not popular but we did just fine.
No, but when I was in school, girls were not allowed to wear anything but skits or dresses - no slacks. Nobody could wear shorts and no one wore jeans anytime - even after school/weekends.
shareFrom K to 9 I went to Catholic school and had to wear a uniform. Then I switched to public school and it wasn’t required.
shareOnly during aforeign exchamge trip to Northern Ireland.
shareI went to a private Episcopalian school in first grade and I had to wear a uniform but that's it.
