shareI'm not saying that, I'm saying an incel can like any film and anyone can like this film.
I don't think he's trying to say Mannequin is the best in terms of quality but it's based on his own enjoyment.
“I don't think he's trying to say Mannequin is the best in terms of quality but it's based on his own enjoyment.”
Exactly! Lots of things like nostalgia and personal enjoyment go into top lists.

shareIt's a cute movie. I love Andrew Macarthy and Kim Catrell together. My dad had that movie on his watchlist and it took him forever to find the dvd. Apparently it was hard to find, don't think it is now. I'd like to watch it again.

THE MAN FROM DEEP RIVER...OR...SACRIFICE!...HOW DOES THAT COMPARE TO CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST?
Man From Deep River is the first of the Italian Cannibal films, made in 1972, which is a magical time for Italian genre movies in general. There is only one Cannibal scene and the film is much more of an adventure / love story. It’s shot on location in Thailand and the chemistry of the two leads is wonderful. The lead guy is a legend in Italian genre films who was almost always a secondary character or villains. Here he was allowed to shine as the hero under Lenzi’s direction, which is always interesting. It also has one of those scores that really sticks with you after viewing. It’s not a great film in the conventional sense, but I really do love it.
shareThe movie is known for being shot in Thailand, which was a rather exotic and unique location for Italian cinema at the time. The interaction between the two leads, Ivan Rassimov and Me Lai, gives the movie depth and takes it beyond the typical exploitation movie. I know some girls who in Thailand, https://sirrodney.com/ and not only there showed everything you want) Ivan Rassimov, as you mentioned, was a prominent figure in Italian genre cinema and often played minor characters or villains. In The Man from the Deep River, he had the opportunity to play a heroic role, which was a departure from his usual screen persona.
