Your thoughts on Red Velvet cake? Is it any good?

I like to put red velvet cake on my balls.

It’s fine and tasty but no better than other good cakes. Red Velvet cake is just another Ho dressed up like a Disney Princess!

Perhaps I went overboard but it’s really all just flour, eggs and sugar🥸

It's just a chocolate cake, with cream cheese frosting, red food coloring, and not enough chocolate in the cake batter.

Eat proper chocolate cake with cream cheese frosting instead.

It's just sugary fluff.

I personally don't care for it - not enough flavor. If you want to have chocolate cake, then just have chocolate cake.

It's very good, particularly with the right frosting. Mom says it's basically German Chocolate cake that's dyed red. I hear it's a popular kind of cake in the South, and has been used in wedding cakes too :)

However, beware people who cheaply make it. You'll always be able to tell because the good red velvet cake isn't wet long after baking, and isn't full of 6 tons of red dye...red dye that comes out the other end after eating it.
