MovieChat Movie Party Friday/Saturday Feature #10

Let’s get nasty together with some Grindhouse action! Oh yeah!

I am not feeling too well so I’m only going for 1 movie/night. If the night owls want to watch something else let me know and I’ll edit the thread.

This Movie Party will allow two things to happen;
-people will be able to watch the same movie at the same time and interact here
-people will be able to have common movies to watch over the weekend and share reviews on my other weekly thread.

Event #1: Friday night, July 21st 9PM Eastern time (if you want to watch live) and event closes Sunday at 5PM (if you haven’t been able to watch live.)

The feature is:
Run! Bitch run! (2009)
https://m.imdb.com/title/tt1136684/?ref_=tt_mv_close

For the night owls:
Hell Comes to Frogtown (1988)

***************************

Event #2: Saturday evening.

First feature: Waxwork (1988)
https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0096426/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0_tt_8_nm_0_q_waxwork

For the night owls: Mo’ Money (1992)
https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0104897/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0_tt_6_nm_2_q_mo%2520money

You can now reply with a mention of which event(s) you will partake in for the weekend and also recommend a movie (on Tubi or any other free site) for next weeks.

Have fun!

“You want a whiskey? How about something stronger?”

Man, I’d like to have a cool godfather like that.

Stronger than a whiskey, I wonder what he had in mind… Moonshine? Crack cocaine?

reply

Maybe an original formula Four Loko?

reply

I think I might’ve found a plot hole: if you don’t believe it’s real they can’t hurt you yet the very first guy didn’t think it was real, he thought he was under hypnosis and this was all fake yet the werewolf was able to get him.
Ah Ha!

reply

He was saying that out loud to try and convince himself, but his fear ultimately won out.

reply

Fair enough

reply

Ah yes, that tiny zippo refill tin is all we need to burn this place to the ground.

reply

The final battle scene is a beautiful mess!

reply

It throws out everything but the kitchen sink!

reply

I need help for my weekly review:

So there were werewolves, vampires, mummies, zombies… are you able to name a few other of the creatures?

reply

Marquis De Sade was also a villain, a sexual sadist and pervert…possibly the worst monster of them all.

reply

I actually liked that one a lot. Good story and the film looked great.

I'll give it a 7.5 out of 10.

reply

It’s a good movie. 7/10 for me

reply

Fair rating.

reply

I missed waxwork. Damn! I hate when I miss my suggestions. Hopefully I'll catch waxwork 2 when you watch it.

I'd also like to suggest Moondance (2020) if anyone is up for a low budget musical.

reply

Yeah, Space Truckers was yours too right? Both your picks were success, so that’s good. I especially enjoyed Space Truckers.

As for Moondance; I don’t watch musicals and you know it! Far less low-budget ones.

reply

I think the rest of the gang are about to watch Mo Money. I’m going to bed.

reply

Welcome back! Moondance looks like an intriguing watch.

reply

Howdy!
We missed you.

reply

Very impressive production and special effects with a light not-too-serious story. 7

reply

Next week we watch the sequel!!

reply

I'm down for that!

At some point before the end of the month, we should schedule Point Break. It is, after all, a quintessential summer movie!

reply

I’ll try to fit it in next weekend too. The one after that I’m gone in a cottage.

reply

I’m down.
Now, MO MONEY!

reply

Yeah, pretty fun stuff👍

reply

Mo Money Roll call.

I’m here, anyone else..?

reply

Any martial artists here?

This is our second MC MOVIECLUB feature tonight where a person gets their neck snapped by hand. Is that really possible?

reply

Movie Cops and coroners are like, ‘dead jacked up bodies,..? let me eat lunch while I have a look at the gory scene.’
