A fellow poster recently asked about similar movies that came out around the same time, I want y'all to pick which one is actually better.

I'll go first. I liked...

-Olympus has Fallen more than White House Down

-The Prestige a bit more than The Illusionist

-Armageddon & was more fun to watch than Deep Impact

-The Truman Show much more than EDtv

-The Descent (2005) more than The Cave

-Tombstone more than Wyatt Earp

-Phone Booth more than Liberty Stands Still

-Volcano just a lil bit more than Dante's Peak

Agree about Armageddon, The Descent and The Truman Show, not sure about the others.

Here are some of my preferences:

First Blood over Some Kind of Hero (1982)
A Nightmare On Elm Street over Dreamscape (1984)
Weird Science over Real Genius (1985)
K-9 over Turner and Hooch (1989)
Mortal Kombat (1995) over Street Fighter (1994) – this one is a close call though
The Craft over Little Witches (1996)
Sliding Doors over Run Lola Run (1998)
Stigmata over End of Days (1999)
Abominable (2019) over Smallfoot (2018)

I've never heard of liberty stands still. I loved phone Booth. Is LSS worth watching?

No, it's not very good.

I didn't even know it existed until I caught on tv one night & decided to watch it cause it had Wesley Snipes as the lead.

My first thought was, holy shit, this is just Phone Booth. But it wasn't quite as good.

I was surprised to learn that it came out before PB
