No. The only major celebrity I've even seen in real life is Stephen King. It used to be common to see him in Bangor in places like the grocery store, the mall, or especially the public library. He also famously allowed trick-or-treaters to come to his door on Halloween, and his house probably got more trick-or-treaters each Halloween than any other house in the state.
In my case I saw him and his wife Tabitha at the Bangor Mall movie theater. He was in the line next to me, and slightly behind me, to see Misery (1990). I didn't notice him until I heard various people around me whispering, "That's Stephen King," and I looked over my left shoulder and there he was about 4 feet away from me. He was wearing pink Converse All Stars and he was huge. He wasn't just tall, but he had a big frame as well, and a big skull. I'm 6' 2" barefoot and he was noticeably taller than me, plus a lot thicker. I was quite skinny back then (about 150 pounds; I weigh 190 now), and he looked like he weighed about 230, without looking fat.
Aside from the whispering, I didn't see anyone actually say anything to him.
