Is it possible to enjoy and understand this w/o having seen the first one? I saw the original, but my husband hasn't.
shareI'd say so. The opening scenes do a good job of briefly recapping the previous film and bringing the viewers up to speed on the main characters. James Cameron stands leagues above most other blockbuster directors in his ability to convey extremely clear story beats.
