Martial Arts Films Suggestions

Please post any of your top martial arts films lists or favorites suggestions. Arrow Streaming carries lots of them but I haven’t really enjoyed most I’ve seen. I’m looking for more good traditional martial arts films, excluding the US big guys like Segal, Van Damme and the like.

Here is a list of some that I do like a lot from the classic to the cheesy.

The Street Fighter (1974)
Miami Connection (1987)
Lady Snowblood (1973)
Raw Force (1982)
The Challenge (1982)
Firecracker (1981)

These are movies I consider great as well as having great fight scenes. Have seen a bunch, so can adjust criteria as you like:

King Fu Hustle (2004)
Iron Monkey (1993)
Once upon a Time in China (1991)
Black Belt (2007)
The Man from Nowhere (2010)
Zatoichi (2003) and the voluminous original series staring Shintaro Katsu
And you can’t go far wrong with any Jackie Chan, Stephen Chow or Sammo Hung films

Tien Xia Di Quan (Five Fingers of Death)(1972)
Kung Fu Panda (2008). Just kidding.
Jûsan-nin No Shikaku (13 Assassins) (2010)
Mugen NoJûnin (Blade of the Immortal) (2017)

I agree with 99% of these recommendations.

Will add:

Fearless Hyena (1979)
Snake in Eagle's Shadow (1978)

And never mind watching all of Cynthia Rothrock's Above the Law (1986) but watch this fight. She was great with the right director/script.

I was gonna mention Kung Fu Hustle too. Though the O.P. should be prepared, it's not strictly martial arts. There's a big dose of comedy in there too.

Try Best of the Best (1989).
BTW, the sequels to Bloodsport, not bad either.
