What's a movie line that makes you cringe every time you hear it?

This. It's a bad line to begin with. It's delivered as if it's playing on a cliche. Yet there is no such cliche. How often does one walk around with a "little friend"? It just makes no sense.

Usually "little friend" means something else.

"You had me at 'hello'."

I hated it before I knew the context and I still hate it after knowing the context.

Perhaps the author was trying to say something like, "Love means never having to explain yourself." The person who loves you just understands and accepts you.

If you ever apologized to your wife, you don't love her. Them's the rules.

I'm thinking it was cringey because it was the way she delivered it.

I find the "sweet", "dude" lines form "Dude, Where's My Car?" cringey.
