What's a movie line that makes you cringe every time you hear it?

Spider-Man (2002)

Green Goblin: "What about my generous proposal? Are you in, or are you out?"

Spiderman: "It's you who's out, Gobby. Out of your mind!"

reply

Scarface (1983)

"Say hello to my little friend!"

reply

^ ^ ^
This. It's a bad line to begin with. It's delivered as if it's playing on a cliche. Yet there is no such cliche. How often does one walk around with a "little friend"? It just makes no sense.

reply

Usually "little friend" means something else.

reply

Speak for yourself.

reply

"Little" never means "little". Example: if someone says they have a little secret to tell you, you know it's going to be juicy.

reply

Good point.

Let’s agree that we never post the word ‘juicy’ to each other again, that made me feel all weird dude.

reply

But what if I'm talking about a blind Jewish man who just got glasses and I say: "look at that Jew see"?

reply

It really depends, were you helping him fix his car or cross the street?

reply

Racist!

reply

This made me cackle! 😂🤣

reply

Since I just saw Titanic in theaters last weekend.
"I'M THE KING OF THE WORLD"!!!!

reply

jerry maguire - you complete me

reply

"You had me at 'hello'."

reply

*raises hand* I'm so guilty of still using this.

reply

Nobody puts Baby in a corner

reply

I hated it before I knew the context and I still hate it after knowing the context.

reply

I AM A COCK FLAVOReD LOLLIPOP!😛

reply

Well I can honestly say that I agree with you...you are a cock and a sucker.

reply

‘Love means never having to say you’re sorry.’

What does this mean? It’s ridiculous.

reply

Ha! You hit on what I always thought was one of the stupidest lines I ever heard. And I heard it when I was a kid!

If you love someone, why in the world WOULDN'T you apologize if you hurt them?

Perhaps the author was trying to say something like, "Love means never having to explain yourself." The person who loves you just understands and accepts you.

reply

Maybe you’re right, but even that would be some strange wording for a major piece of dialogue lol.

Who knows!

reply

If you ever apologized to your wife, you don't love her. Them's the rules.

reply

Goddam right Amigo!

Now if you’ll excuse me I’m gonna spit some chew, shoot my guns in the air and kick any available dog, it’s a man’s world boys!

reply

“Is it raining, I hadn’t noticed” - FWAAF

reply

I'm thinking it was cringey because it was the way she delivered it.

reply

When California blonde barbies that still say..."as if" Its like nails on a chalkboard - Clueless

“Show me the money!” - Jerry Maguire

“Dude, where’s my car?” - Dude, Where’s My Car?

reply

I find the "sweet", "dude" lines form "Dude, Where's My Car?" cringey.
