MC listing movies by their foreign titles lately.

WTF is up with that???? I thought it was IMDb doing it and MC was just mirroring that. But nope. IMDb lists the English titles and then in small print underneath that they will list their original foreign title. MC used to list their English titles for the most part. But I've been noticing this more and more lately that they've started listing their foreign titles instead. Just yet another in a slew of oddities about this website. Like the way they list video games as movies. Video games are listed as video games on IMDb. But not on MC.

And the search function's still not working properly either. It won't show us individual episodes of television shows anymore. I have to go to IMDb and bring up the episode there and then copy the "tt" part of its URL and then splice it together with the moviechat.org URL in order to be able to find which episode board I want. Yet more bullshit.

Have you tried bringing up individual episodes of TV shows? Give it a try.

i was able to find some twilight zone episodes - they are noted as movies

How exactly did you type them into the search engine? Did you type them all in individually? Or did you just type in the Twilight zone and those happen to come up?

Now I've just tried bringing up Gunsmoke episodes individually, and those showed up. But when I tried to bring up Star Trek the Next Generation episodes, no dice.

the title has to be exact. works best with no spaces. i found some columbo episodes.

Believe me, I've done exact words. With and without the year. And the year in parentheses and not in parentheses. And that no spaces thing is just stupid we shouldn't have to do that.

Yeah like I said, the Gunsmoke episodes come up. Try Star Trek The Next Generation's episodes.

I've tried several TNG episodes and nothing came up.
Try bringing up the episode title Justice.

can't find justice or when the bough breaks. there's no consistency with it. i was able to find these:

It's the code in it's URL (website address) that indicates the title of the movie, show, or episode. So here is the IMDb URL link to the first episode of Star Trek the Next Generation and the MC URL link to the same episode. Notice the tt number in the link? I have to copy the tt number from its IMDb URL and then add it to the moviechat.org URL in order for the episode to show up here.

Could be the way they aggregate from IMDb and probably needs some code tweaking to catch the English titles first. Maybe talk to a mod about it?

More Movie Chat weirdo bullshit....
This movie is from 1989 but MC has it listed as 2019. Plus they're STILL listing movies by their foreign titles instead of their English titles. The weirdness just keeps growing.
