I would like to have the opportunity to say goodbye to a long time user of this forum without it seemingly getting nuked within an hour.

I notice that comments by several posters, my self included, were deleted (mine was a jokey comment - I guess it didn’t land well 🤷♂️).
I did not see the posts you refer to, so have no idea what the comments were.
I saw Tim's goodbye post this morning, but I was unable to respond due to having visitors over.
When I came back to say goodbye to a buddy I've respected and known well for many years I saw his forum topic was no longer here, but the topic title remains in my Google Chrome history. 🤔
The selective censorship is starting to get a little ridiculous; either delete all offending posts or don’t. You can’t have one rule for certain posters and different rules for others.
Nice posters are being driven away and I fear that this page will slowly become like Filmboards.
If you don't want your posts to get deleted, just mock gay people. Those threads usually stay up without problem.

In my decades of message board experience, I’ve learned that people who really want to go away just leave. They don’t make an attention-seeking statement.
He was pissed off at the special treatment another poster receives, he did not delete his account, his goodbye post was deleted by a mod within an hour.
If the op had deleted it, it would still be up but showing as [deleted].
I missed this. Did he say he’s not coming back?
shareI can’t remember it word for word and only have the title left in my Google Chrome history, but ThetaSigma was pissed off (and rightly so) at the apparent special forum treatment a homophobic poster in General Discussion receives, he blasted the mods for this in his farewell post.
Which is why I presume his post is no more.

shareI saw the post and from memory ThetaSigma said that the Mod(s) was/were sucking a certain poster's cock so nobody should be surprised that the post was deleted.
What the heck??? I didn't even see it! I would have loved to have said something to him.
I understand 100% why he'd want to leave. The homophobia is very rampant on this site.
