Imagine a Vegan person with a Penis wearing a dress and lipstick telling you to "Follow the Science"

reply

If god didn’t want us to eat animals, then he wouldn’t have made them so tasty 😋 🤤

I don't disagree with anything you wrote, except the "easy" part. I'm a pescatarian myself and am trying to move towards veganism, but it's not easy. Nothing to do with laziness or even selfishness, meat is something most people are raised to eat from birth and breaking that habit is hard, especially when tribalism means loads of people will look at you funny, treat you differently and even try to force-feed you or tempt you with food you've expressed you no longer wish to eat. Not impossible, not the most difficult task ever, but not easy, especially depending on the individual. For many, trying to get someone to not eat meat is like telling a right handed person to now write exclusively with their left hand.

reply

Teachers used to force left-handed people to write with their right-hand.

reply

Yeah, and that was wrong.

I will totally admit I am being "that guy" right now but . . . your post presupposes that right and wrong exist. I believe they do but if they do not then you could eat human babies and it would be no more evil than starring into the night sky. I would love to hear your thoughts on what makes something wrong and what makes something right. Furthermore, what happens when said code is violated? What separates justifiable homicide from murder? Who, how, and why do you make that determination? For vegans to be right or wrong, right and wrong have to exist.

I don’t think anyone actually has a problem with the vegan diet. It’s the smug preachy attitude that seems to come along with it for some people.

I support their right to eat whatever they want, but they are wrong for trying to force their beliefs on others.

The attempts to make me empathize with the animal isn’t enough to get to me to stop eating meat. If I ever do give up meat, it’s going to be because of all the poison they add to the food supply. But that also applies to more than just meat.

There is a pretty big difference between someone abusing an animal, a road side market selling live chickens, a slaughterhouse, or someone hunting. I support the latter, but I also think it should be done as humanely as possible.

I'd argue meat eaters kinda force their beliefs on others, as their beliefs force animals to die.

The animals are all either predators or prey. They are well aware of the food chain, and humans are in the top of it.

We don’t put animals on the same level as humans.

Since you are not a vegan or vegetarian, you don't need to be convinced that vegans are wrong. OK? They made healthy diet choices for themselves. Just leave them alone.

I can understand that you are looking for a logical way to justify your choice to eat meat and pay people to "murder" innocent beings. My reasoning is simply that meat tastes great, and because white meat is only a small part of my daily diet, I think it's also a healthy diet. I also believe most farmers raise their livestock with care and using humane killing by the end. If you have relatives who raise livestock on a farm, I encourage you to visit them and see for yourself.

For everyone, vegetarian or meat lover, balancing nature and our needs is a common goal.

Convincing people over the internet is futile. It's also not normal. You have to convince yourself.
