I do believe there are other life forms out in the universe, and even intelligent beings somewhere in the galaxies. As unlikely as it is we will be visited, it had me thinking:
Say tomorrow, aliens actually land space craft down on Earth, for everyone to see. Do you think societies will stay civil, or do you think our lives as we know it would start to collapse; religion would break down, riots, chaos, etc?

Don't think aliens capable of making such journeys would do it merely to say hello.
Bleak, eh ? :) However, the prospect of such a visitation/invasion/usurpation/extermination is probably very slight. :)
