Name a movie commentary you've listened to the whole way through.
Home Alone- The commentary track with Chris Columbus and Macualy Culkin is the only way I watch the movie every year.

I never even put the commentary on a movie once. Maybe someone could explain to me why I would do that?
Also, maybe you could tell me what so good about home alone’s commentary that it’s the only way you watch it?
I thought the commentaries on The Mummy DVD were entertaining and interesting.
shareLots of them, but the only one that really stands out is This Is Spinal Tap (1984), specifically, the version of the commentary that Guest, McKean, and Shearer did in-character, which was hilarious. Also, I liked the way they mixed it. They had Guest/Tufnel always coming from the left speaker, McKean / St. Hubbins always coming from the right speaker, and Shearer/Smalls always coming from the center, which made it easier to tell who was talking.

shareIf I remember right, one version of the DVD has the in-character commentary and another version has Guest, McKean, and Shearer doing a normal commentary, plus Reiner doing a director's commentary. If your version doesn't have the in-character commentary let me know and I can link you to the audio if you want to sync it with your DVD.

None. The only time I've run the commentary is watching outtakes - which can be interesting. Every now and then I'll watch a film and tell myself to run the commentary next time but I've yet to do it.
shareThe commentary for Old School (2003) is my favourite. Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2008) is very good too.
