Any non-Canadians on here familiar with the Karla Homolka case?

The one who gave her little sister as a virgin sacrifice and Xmas present to her boyfriend? I just watched a documentary on them. That B and her husband are both twisted. It's people like that I would support the death penalty in Canada.

Yeah I know this case.

A couple of years ago she was spotted volunteering at an elementary school in Montreal. Video: https://youtu.be/SywUwwkuHoE

reply

Wtf , Don't they do background checks ?! She shouldn't even be free to volunteer 😒

Yeah, I heard about it back in the 90s. Absolutely disgusting, I can't believe she's not in jail.

reply

Yea. They found the tapes after they'd made a deal with her, before the tapes revealed she had been in it up to her eyeballs.

reply

Hard to believe a WOMAN could be capable of such things.

reply

Not really. Women aren’t the pure hearted creatures their made out to be.

The guy who married and had children with her must be absolutely crazy.

In the US, plea deals are usually made with the proviso that only the crimes you admit to, fully & truthfully, are covered by the deal. If any crimes are not fully admitted to, the plea deal is void.

Evidently it doesn't, or it didn't, work that way in Canada at that time. Given the outrage, I bet it now does.

reply

Yeah, heard of it, and I've also heard that she's been a model citizen since then. No arrests, no legal troubles, no mysterious disappearances or virgin sacrifices near her.

I once read a book about female serial killers, and the author's premise was that female serial killers hardly ever work alone, that most female psychopaths who enjoy killing innocent people only let their dark side loose upon the world when they form a relationship with a male psychopath. The theory is that they only act on their murderous desires when a man's doing it with them, without a male partner in crime, the Karla Homolkas of this world don't kill on their own. And yeah, Homolka was discussed in depth.

Still, whatever she's doing, my sympathies to her children. Nobody who's capable of such horrors is going to be anything but a toxic parent.

reply

Yes, it was an infamous case of perversion and murder.
That insane piece of trash should be in prison for the rest of her life.
