What are your thoughts on Minneapolis-St.Paul, Minnesota (the "Twin Cities")?
I've only been to the airport for a layover. Airport is nice. Never checked out the city itself.

shareI've read that it has the largest selection of good looking natural blondes in the U.S.
shareIt's also Prince's hometown and he is one of my favourite artists.
shareI lived close to the Uptown neighborhood, and I remember Prince had a retail store. It was small, but very cool. It only lasted a couple years back in the mid 1990s.

Interesting.
I bet the whole city went into mourning when be died.
He’s dead, in a lft, in a drug overdose, complete stupidity.
shareI lived there 1988-1997, nine years. Coming from NYC, I loved it. It had a nickname, the "Minneapple" https://storage.googleapis.com/hippostcard/p/1aafb5cbff44a1f7065f30db3a441c72-800.jpg
But I don't know if that is still a thing. Lots of big city amenities but more laid back, less hurly burly, than NYC. The downtown skyway system is very cool. I remember when I first drove through downtown, I wondered, where are all the shops and restaurants? The answer: Tne second floor of all the buildings: google.com/search?tbm=isch&q=Minneapolis+skyway
The second thing was discovering a sane apartment rental market. NYC is nuts, and it was great to discover that not every urban area is like that. I became a fan of the Vikings/Twins/North Stars. I loved the Mall of America. Yes, winters can be tough, but one adjusts; however, it's a reason not to go back, especially now that I am approaching senior citizen status.
Canadians in Winnipeg and Thunder Bay love it because the city has four professional sports teams within a reasonable drive.
shareI've passed through the Airport and it's one of the biggest airports I've ever been in. Sadly that's all I'll see of Minneapolis as BLM and leftist lunatics have turned the city into a 3rd world shithole
shareI lived in the Twin Cities area for most of my life. It's a decent place to live, but like most places, it has its share of problems. The only reason I left 9 years ago is that I grew tired of the noise, crowds, and traffic, but they're a fact of life in large metro areas.
I've been there in winter, to visit relatives. The air was so cold it literally hurt to inhale outdoors, my trachea tried to close itself off to keep that shit out!
So my thoughts on the Twin Cities can be boiled down to "Nope!".
Minnesota winter rookies often have a tough time. You get used to it, but that doesn't always mean you enjoy it. And then there are days when going outside is a huge "nope." We like to say that the winters keep the riff-raff out. 🤭
