Red and Andy get up to hijinks in Zihautanejo then run amok of a gang of drug smugglers. Action and suspense and a bit of comedy ensue with the second in command smuggler ending up helping them foil the rest and finds his own redemption.

But we're not in Shawshank anymore, we're in Mexico. So someone in Mexico will have to have some kind of redemption. If they make a sequel set in the prison, it will have to be a new main character or 2. Nobody really wants that. Most would probably want to see the continuation of Andy and Red.

Lord of the Rings (1978). Before there was Peter Jackson, there was Ralph Bakshi's animated Lord of the Rings. Though only rated 6.2 on IMDb, I remember that my pals and I really liked it a lot. I was 19 years old when it was released. I don't recall exactly how much of the trilogy it covered, maybe half? In any event there was continual disappointment that there was never a Part II to finish the story.

It's too bad Bruce & Damon didn't get along making the movie but someone like Wesley Snipes as new character parterning with Bruce or something would've been awesome for a sequel

I ALWAYS REALLY LIKED DAMON AND WONDERED WHY HIS CAREER STALLED SO BADLY...PERHAPS FOR THE SAME REASON HE AND WILLIS DIDN'T GET ALONG...TOO SIMILAR...A COUPLE OF HARD TO WORK WITH EGO-MANIACS.

I've finally caught up with The Man From UNCLE. It's not great but it is better than I expected. I don't think it's got a lot to do with the TV series but if it serves as an origin story then a sequel could have moved back towards the feel of the original - I'd quite like to see a second film that did that.
