GAME: Name the Sitcom, given only a Character’s Signature Line

Post a sitcom character’s signature line. The first person to name the sitcom takes the next turn.

I’ll begin:

“Kiss my grits!”

reply

Goodnight, Elizabeth!

reply

I know that Redd Foxx would refer to his deceased wife, Elizabeth, usually while holding his chest as if he is having a heart attack and saying he's going to join her.

Another Sanford and Son quote?

reply

Nope.

reply

The Waltons?

reply

I was going to guess that, too...but, not a sitcom?

reply

True.

reply

It's the Waltons.

My error re: not a sitcom.

reply

Goodnight, Keelai!

(I guessed a non-sitcom on page 3)

reply

Does it count that the show's campiness always makes me laugh?

reply

I posted a line from Lost in Space. Not a sitcom, at least not at first, but it evolved into a campfest.

reply

MASH ditched the laugh track in its final years. Not all sitcoms have laughter. Lost in Space and Batman are on the border of being sitcoms.

Waltons and Little House on the Prairie always made my family laugh.

reply

"Ha! I kill me!"

reply

Family Matters?

reply

Nope.

reply

Alf

reply

Yep! That's it.

reply

“ I'm Larry, this is my brother, Darryl, and this is my other brother, Darryl.”

reply

Newhart

reply

"I know!"

reply

Is this Edith Bunker?

reply

"I'll gladly pay you Tuesday, for a hamburger today."

reply

Wimpy from Popeye

reply

Yes!

reply

"Are you pondering what I'm pondering?"

reply

"Missed it by THAT much!"

reply

Get Smart

reply

Yes!

reply

And loving it
