Actors/Actresses in really unexpected roles

I saw this trailer, and thought, David Spade as the evil guy. I kind of have to watch this.

I watched it today and I liked it. This is one those situation where you watch a movie just because one person is in it. I wanted to see if Spade could pull it off. He did. Its not a great movie, but its well done, and interesting.

If anyone can name another movie where David Spade is a true bad guy/killer, I'd be interested to know.

Jim Carrey in Number 23. Carrey was never an exclusively comedy actor. He had some dramatical roles, but in Number 23 he went over the top serious. It's dark, bleak and devoid of any humor. It's terrible.

It is much more unexpected than his role in Eternal Sunshine. If you ask me True Crimes
is even more out of his comfort zone.
