shareNever heard of it. I was never a fan of any of the 24-hour news channels, but I can't imagine why you would want to use the name CNN if you were going to do something else entirely as the article indicates:
".. there was little on offer for CNN buffs, as the streaming platform doesn’t offer round-the-clock news and live updates the way the legacy channel provided by a regular cable subscription does."
I mean, wasn't that the point of CNN? So CNN+ is CNN minus 24 hour news? What's left?
The weather?
shareThere is video reviews of it on YouTube if you wish to know what it had.
shareCNN has been hemorrhaging viewers for a decade. Busted too many times for infra-yellow journalism. I'm sorta shocked that they took this shot. Their airport contract is a better model for their continued existence. Don't leave it up to people to choose you, find a way to stay in their face.
shareChris Wallace left FOX to join CNN+ (lol)
I can't wait til the dominoes fall.... There's better news by YouTubers and/or Twitters.
MSNBC and FOX will die next..
CNN is still the go to network for breaking news. Their coverage of the war in Ukraine has been top notch.
$5.99 a month.
They threw 300 million at it before pulling the plug.
I can't help but think this was a case of "build it and they will come" thinking instead of "our market research shows a strong demand for this to be a product".
