All of them. The climate is temperate in Melbourne so winter doesn't see much frost in the city and there are only a handful of days in summer that are very hot. Otherwise it's all good.
I like fall and the first couple of weeks of winter, primarily because of the holiday season. But also because the weather is nicer, the leaves change color, things are settled into more of a routine, it's football and hockey season and the end of that idiotic Daylight Savings Time. No more miserable summer and the things associated with it. Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas are soon approaching.
I like them all but fall will always be my favorite. Because it means spending days in the woods with a flintlock rifle, in the colorful foliage of the Tennessee hills.
It can be. Some years the summer is so dry the leaves just turn brown and fall off. Last year was particularly good.
I used to fish all the time but that was when I lived in FL. Urban sprawl pretty much eliminated all the good fishing spots. Up here it's just the TN River. Still trying to talk the wife into a real boat.
I love The South, we often talk of retiring there someday
We visit our friends in Virginia and the In-Laws in Florida during the Summer.
Southern people are really nice, so different from New Yorkers
Boats are tricky, I had a 19 foot Bay Liner, nice rig but it was up on blocks more than it was wet, boats can be a real pain in the ass
Best of luck Craig
I have a 14 foot Jon boat and a 16 foot canoe now and the paddles never break down👍
Less noise pollution, less chaos, more darkness, but most importantly, it's much easier to sleep in a cold room. During summer, it's so difficult to get these window AC units to fight against the heat, while a furnace can get my house from 55 F to 73 F within minutes.
I love the look of autumn. Crisp air, beautiful colors, leaves, 60s, nothing too cold... But, I used to go on walks a lot with a girl when school started, so I had many more hours of appreciating nature. I never go for walks in the summer. I think I took one or two during winter, and didn't see anything but snow.
That's another thing I don't like about spring and summer. More people are outside, which I wouldn't mind if they would just be quiet! Why do some feel obligated to make a racket just because they are outdoors?
