StoneKeeper's Movie Guessing Game: I recommend THIS Movie #2028 [Hey now, bellington83 is an all star with MYSTERY MEN]

It's time for another round, but it's not quite the same song and dance. It might be a tough title for some to track, but I'll try to work with the player guesses and start us off on the right note.

I have a movie in mind and you have to guess which one it is. For each movie you guess, I will give a hint that connects your guess with the movie I have in mind.

For each guess, a connection is posted. Example of connections: Actor, length, genre, aspect ratio, language, country, year, director, actor, writer in common, rating, number of votes. It can even be something like: both movies involve Cabbage Patch Kids. Also, you can use Metascore color or rating, Rotten Tomatoes score, any award wins or nominations in common, same number of words in the title, plot keywords. Note: "Plot" in the IMDB advanced search links to "Plot Summary" on the film's page. "Keyword" in the advanced search links to "Plot Keyword" on the film's page.

Helpful search engine: https://www.imdb.com/search/title/ Click on Feature Film and TV Movie and Video. Then modify for the hints as they are posted.

- The winner can either start a new game or say "pass". In case of a pass, the OP gets to start another one.
- After 12 hints and 15 incorrect guesses the point goes to the OP and he/she gets to start another one.
- Movie must have at least 3500 IMDB votes. Otherwise, add a bonus hint. No documentaries.
- Maximum 2 guesses per player per hint.
- Can't edit a guess once posted. Delete ONLY
- Post one Hint at a time.

Let's get it on!

Hint 1: Moscow on the Hudson (1984) - At least one Oscar winner in the cast.
Hint 2: Gia (1998) - Soundtrack includes a very popular chart-topping single. I can all but guarantee you've heard it.
Hint 3: The Book of Eli (2010) - Action.
Hint 4: Romancing the Stone (1984) - 20th century film.
Hint 5: Against All Odds (1984) - VFA runtime of 2 hours or more.
Hint 6: Batman (1989) - Fighting crime is a key story element.
Hint 7: Executive Decision (1996) - Green Metascore.

A heroic play from bellington83 lands this round's victory with Mystery Men (1999) a movie fifteen to twenty years ahead of its time. Still, this send-up of superhero tropes has a lot to enjoy, from its colorful cast (William H. Macy's earnest Shoveler and Janeane Garofalo's surly Bowler are standouts) to its impressive production design and oddly prescient commentary on consumer capitalism caped crusaders culture. Holy alliteration, Batman!

This movie didn't find its audience, but I think the last couple decades have helped elevate it to a higher standing. Check it out, and enjoy the official music video:
