Will there be a COVID resurgence this year?
Well?
shareProbably.
shareThere already has been here in Australia since the government has adopted the “let it rip” attitude. No one seems particularly concerned though and death rates are low, possibly because of the high vaccination rates here. I guess it’s something we have accepted is a reality we have to live with now.
I suppose a deadlier variant may change things. Only time will tell.
I actually enjoyed the lockdown in March 2020. An introvert's paradise. Sadly, I don't think it will happen again in our lifetime.
shareExact same scenario here in Ireland.
shareIt's already rocketing in England as there are no restrictions anymore. No need to isolate and free testing ended this week.
2 of my co-workers have had covid in the past week so I'll likely get it too.
It will always be with us.
I'm getting my 2nd booster next Saturday and feel that is the best thing I can do to protect myself from anything serious.
Yes, but so what.
shareYeah but it's time to get the boogey man from under the bed.
COVID-19 will be part of the rest of our lives.
Medical science has a firm footing and the devastation of the disease will continue to decrease (with some minor bumps) over our lives.
Someday in the next few years the concerns about COVID-19 will be about at the same levels as concerns for the flu.
I live in Florida so I am waiting to see if it happens again during the hottest months of the summer.
