There are countless films about romantic love, but what about films where two people form a great, lasting friendship?
Here are a few that come to mind:
1. The Bridges of Madison County (1995) - sure the main plot focuses on the romance but there is a scene where Streep’s character knocks on the door of this ostracized woman, gives her a pie and they become great friends.
2. Forrest Gump (1994) - Forrest & Lt Dan

Brian’s Song (1971)
Pride & Prejudice (all films) - the friendship between Elizabeth Bennett and Charlotte Lucas. She went to stay with her even after the whole awkward Mr. Collins rejection.
About a Boy (2002) - a movie about a friendship between an adult and a child is a dicey undertaking but ended up being a sweet story, especially when it brought together all of their family, friends, love interests too.
