Who is your least favorite Star Wars character?

I know everyone says Jar Jar, but aside from him? I think Poe or Rose.

reply

I don't even hate Jar Jar-- he's just there for me.

Gotta go with Holdo. Found her grating.

reply

General Hux.

reply

General Hux was my favourite secondary character in the sequels. I don't know why he don't get no respect !

reply

He was a bad actor. And I hate how they (SPOILERS) changed him into a good guy in the last film.

reply

I had the impression Hux was trying to screw over Ren because he hated him. The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

I enjoyed his Hitleresque acting.

reply

I don't remember why he turned around in the last film, but it felt thrown in. The first two films he was essentially the main right-hand man.

reply

He and Ren had a rivalry for Snoke's approval and to be his second-in-command. When Snoke died, Hux declared himself the new Supreme Leader until Ren Force-choked him.

I assumed Hux was still upset about losing out to Ren.

reply

No, you're still banging on ! Domhnall Gleeson is a very good actor and his General Hux was a well judged performance managing to combine cowardice, courage and cunning.

reply

But even if he played the character as it was written, it doesn't make since how he could become a general. Also forgot about Captain Phasma and Boba Fett both look good but are easily defeated.

reply

Hux wanted to be Supreme Leader.

reply

General Hux was basically written as a ridiculous comical character. A cowardly man way out of his depth, and yet was he ? Even with his obvious deficiencies he was still managing to hold his position and maneuver as best he could. It was just bad luck that he wasn't able to kill Kylo Ren before he regained consciousness for example.

reply

He's fine in other things, but he looks like he smells something bad in every movie.

reply

I liked his character too, but I think pretty much everyone got dealt a bad hand in those movies after The Force Awakens. Its almost like the writers had no idea what direction they were going in and just winged it.

reply

He was terrible, but Poe just seemed to be unnecessary. Rose story was a forced as was her potential romance with Finn.

reply

There is seemingly no end to the number of sock puppets at Moviechat.

reply

That's a wide field but let's see:

Yoda - All I could see was a stupid looking puppet.

C3PO - That mincing ninny !

Leia - I kept seeing the spoiled brat in Carrie Fisher bleeding into her Leia.

Qui-Gon Jinn - Liam Neeson was so laid back he was horizontal as the saying goes.

Lieutenant Connix - Billie Lourd only got the gig through being Carrie Fisher's daughter. Thankfully they didn't cast her as Rey although she had the gall to audition for the part.

reply

Good points on all of those. Kinda dismissed C3PO but thinking about it he was extremely annoying and useless.

reply

Not as laid back as Perry Como though:

The monster in the lava lake.

reply

Every new character in the Disney trilogy.

reply

Holdo. What a man-hating shrew! Poe asked a practical question about future military plans and she'd shut him down. My original reaction was WTF, but now I laugh my head off each time she pops-up on screen to publicly emasculate Poe.

Her military plans were inane, too.

reply

No she didn't hate Poe that wool headed lummox ! It wasn't his fault he was a dumb man who couldn't see that the women were the real brains of the outfit, even though it was obvious riiight !

reply

That bitch, you know Anikin's mother.

reply

Contender for worst line in a movie

"There was no father"

Need a little Maury Povitch in there

reply

The prequel film to Episode I will be titled, Episode O: You Are NOT the Father!

reply

✔️🤣

reply

I'm not familiar with much past the the first two trilogies (1-6)

Yoda was cool in the beginning, but I hated him in the second (prequel) trilogy. Hayden Christensen as Anakin was awful. Liam Neeson's character was something of a disappointment. Padme was unsatisfying as a character, and while Portman doesn't get as much hate as Christensen's poor performance, hers was no winner, either.

reply

George Lucas is his own worst enemy. He's the root of the issues listed.

However, Jar Jar has grown on me due to the "He's the key to everything", Jar Jar is the secret Sith video on YouTube. Just too much fun thinking about what would have become if the theory was actualized. But if anything, Lucas doesn't have a great follow threw -- then I get depressed again.

reply

Agree about Lucas.
