Any recommendations for psychedelic movies?
What movies would be nice to watch on drugs?
I’m looking for more obscure gems as I already saw most of them.
Available on Netflix, YouTube or tubi would be best.
Thank you

If you’re a fan of Pink Floyd, it doesn’t get any better than their ‘Live at Pompeii’ performance/documentary film.
A mind-blowing experience.
I love the conversations... While they're eating, David says, "I don't know the nationality" (of oysters) and Roger replies hilariously with:
"I'd like to think oysters have transcended national barriers".
Haha yes.. That very line used to be an inside joke between a couple of friends and myself. Whenever someone would say something stupid starting with "I'd like to think...", we'd often toss that line out as a response just for fun.
shareHaha.. I seem to always start "inside talk" that seems to become popular among enough people that it makes it funny when others use it, especially when they stretch it out. Online and in real life.
In Australia, we were working like slaves in this tomato farm, so humor was important, since we weren't being paid on time/properly, and I used a line in The Godfather, edited it to fit the situation,
"Man this farm is..... come si dice?....... exploitationa" - basically taking something obvious, and adding the "come si dice" (How you say) for a laugh.

holy motors
videodrome
the wolf house
i wouldn't call them psychedelic movies necessarily, but they all have a trippy quality that would make for a good high watch.

very fair points.
i haven't done a lot of drugs in a really long time.
perhaps i'm thinking more of how films can induce a drug like mental state, or try to replicate one, rather than thinking of films that would work altered.

No one seems to have mentioned the Monkees "Head" film, but I'm guessing you are familiar with it.
And a long time ago I saw Neil Young's "Journey Through the Past" but I don't remember if it's just a concert film or what exactly it was about. I just vaguely remember either not liking it or not understanding it, but as I said that was a very long time ago.
head is a very good choice.
shareI'm trying to find some good picks, but unfortunately they're mostly not the platforms you listed.
Smiley Face (2007) is not psychedelic film per se, but it is fun to watch in an altered state and available on Tubi.
