"Ready Player One". Also, it's been a while since I live seen it but I believe "Strange Days" uses going into people's memories as a plotline.

I loved the soundtrack too. I still have both the Skunk Anansie, and the Deep Forest with Peter Gabriel songs on regular rotation on my playlists.
